Community involvement has always been at the heart of what we do. From planting projects and themed displays to competitions and town events, we believe everyone can play a part in helping South Molton bloom.

Over the years we have been fortunate to receive support from residents, volunteers, schools, local businesses and community organisations who continue to contribute ideas, creativity, time and enthusiasm to projects across the town.

Schools & Young People

We are always keen to encourage local schools and youth groups to become involved in environmental and planting projects. Activities can include:

🌼 Community events and seasonal projects

Helping young people connect with nature and take pride in their town is an important part of our long-term vision for South Molton.

Churches, Community Groups & Residents

Churches, charities, clubs, local organisations such as the Men's Club  and individual residents including our local knitters and numerous volunteers, all play an important role in community life within South Molton. We welcome opportunities to collaborate on projects, events and planting initiatives that help improve shared spaces and bring people together.

Whether it is maintaining planters, supporting community events or helping with fundraising and volunteering, every contribution is greatly appreciated.

Local Businesses

Local businesses continue to provide fantastic support through sponsorship, donations, volunteering and participation in our annual competitions and displays.

Our Shop Window Competition encourages businesses to help create colourful and welcoming streets throughout the town centre, particularly during the busy summer months and RHS judging periods.

Community Competitions

Each year we organise community competitions designed to encourage creativity, pride and participation across South Molton, including:

These competitions help bring colour and excitement to the town while encouraging residents and businesses to become involved in community life.

Fundraising

Every year we hold a music event in the Assembly rooms to both bring the Community together and to raise funds to support our work.
