The Sainsbury’s Bed
There was nothing there in 2021, so in April 2022 we dug a bed and started planting with an orange and white theme to match the Sainsbury’s logo. When we were removed from Bloomers Corner in 2023, we put all the pots on the concrete patch to add to the look.
It is amazing how many positive comments we get from the staff and customers. We did have a pop-up banner advertising South Molton in Bloom in their lobby window, but according to the manager they suffered some vandalism and it was either stolen or destroyed.
We decided to put a trolley as a raised bed in the middle of the main bed, and we used a discarded Tesco trolley from the car park! Marie Lodge has now made us a wonderful plaque to go on the trolley.
